Living outside Gothenburg on the west coast of Sweden I have been an active amateur astronomer since 2008. I prefer visual observations and as a habit I sketch the objects I observe. I started out as an deep sky observer, later to become interested in comets. Presently I tend to favor lunar observations.
My two main instruments are a 16″ dobsonian from Guang Sheng Optical and a 10″ dobsonian from SkyWatcher. The larger scope is mostly used for deep sky observations, and the lesser for planets, comets, and the moon. To make myself mobile I also have a 127 mm Mak also from SkyWatcher , and a 66 mm refractor from William Optics.
In this blog I will post sketches from my observations.
Feel free to comment both in English and in Swedish.
Excellent idea, I like to see more of you drawings – and to hear more about astronomical drawing in Sweden. /Klaus
Thanks Klaus! I have been thinking of starting a site like this for a long time. Finally got around to it.
