L86: Prinz Rilles

The Harbinger mountains resides on the border between Oceanus Procellarum and Mare Imbrium, and stretches from the flooded Prinz crater (top) to the Harbinger peak (bottom). Crustal fracturing has lifted the area, creating five sinuous rilles, starting at the rim of Prinz and continuing towards the north (down). Observed during poor seeing, the rilles were unfortunately not visible.

Sketch made on 7 July 2014 using a SkyWatcher 10″ and a TeleVue Nagler zoom 3-6 mm. North is down.
