The Arrowhead

In between craters Hansteen and Billy, the Arrowhead (formally Mons Hansteen) is a triangular patch of bright volcanic material. Under high sun and contrasting to the darker mare material, the patch was clearly visible. The bright areas surrounding the craters are highlands rising above the mare.

Sketch made on 10 July 2014 using a SkyWatcher 10″ and a Televue Nagler zoom 6-3 mm. The moon was almost full at the time. North is down.
